Miami ended the opening round of the Leagues Cup on a whimper, especially since their star player, Lionel Messi, suffered an injury near the end of the league-wide pause. The absence of the Argentinian legend was noticeable in the club’s first match back in MLS play, falling 4-1 to in-state rival Orlando City last Saturday.
