In the third quarter of the Detroit Lions’ preseason bout with the Miami Dolphins, rookie defensive end Ahmed Hassanein left the field after suffering what appeared to be an upper body injury. Hassanein was involved in a violent collision during a defensive play, and immediately clutched his upper body. After trainers attended to Hassanein for a minute, they escorted him off the field, supporting his arm as they walked. Hassanein went directly into the locker room.

The team does not offer official updates during the game, but after the contest coach Dan Campbell noted that Hassanein could be down for a little.

“He is, out of a the (injuries) we had today, he might be the one that could be a minute. It could be a little bit,” Campbell said. “We’ll know more in the morning. For everybody e
