WACO, Texas — Baylor University denied any intentional removal or trapping of cats found on campus in a statement Saturday.
A viewer called 6 News on Friday, claiming the university planned to remove cats by relocating them to a remote, rural area. After reaching out to the school, Baylor denied that such a plan existed, as well as other claims being made by animal activists suggesting the school is messaging people and telling them to stop feeding the cats.
"Reports circulating on social media regarding the trapping of feral cats on the Baylor University campus are false," the school said.
According to the university, no pest control provider was told to trap cats. Instead, the provider was ordered to check on traps set earlier this year for skunks, raccoons and other wild animals pote
