The horror-mystery is slated to enjoy a domestic total of up to $90 million through Sunday, which would make it the 14th-highest-earning North American release of the year, as per Variety . 3

“Freakier Friday,” the highly-anticipated sequel to 2003’s “Freaky Friday” remained in the second spot, with sales of $4.5 million.

Its director, Nisha Ganatra, has already spoken about the possibility of a third film.

“Freakiest Friday… What would it be? I mean, more swaps, right? Probably a six-way swap,” Ganatra told Screen Rant .

The action comedy “Nobody 2” took third, with a $3.86 million take on Friday, its opener.
