The Detroit Lions returned to Ford Field for the first time since their playoff exit in January, hosting the Miami Dolphins for a preseason matchup.
Penalties stacked up for the Lions and they fell short of a late comeback, losing to the Dolphins 24-17 on Saturday.
The Lions got feature performances from rookie wide receivers Jackson Meeks and Isaac TeSlaa and appeared to get a little more clarity in the competition for the backup quarterback spot between Kyle Allen and Hendon Hooker.
