Gal Gadot is making rare comments about the box office failure of her movie Snow White and how she believes the Israel conflict hurt the performance.

The movie underperformed at the box office, earning just $87 million at the domestic box office and a total of $205 million worldwide. Comparatively, Disney’s live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch , which was released two months later, earned over $1 billion at the global box office.

Gal used to serve in the Israel Defense Forces under the country’s compulsory military service laws, and has previously voiced her support of Israel amid the Israel-Palestine conflict. Her co-star Rachel Zegler has been vocal over the years about her support for “Free Palestine.”
