INDIANAPOLIS — The injury list for the Colts keeps getting longer, thinning out a new position with each passing week.
Indianapolis lost rookie strong safety Hunter Wohler, right tackle Braden Smith, backup tackle Blake Freeland, running back Tyler Goodson, cornerback Johnathan Edwards and linebacker Jacob Phillips in Saturday’s preseason game, and starting left tackle Bernhard Raimann was not available to start the game due to an ankle injury suffered in the joint practice.
But Colts head coach Shane Steichen is concerned mostly about a cornerback spot that has been hit harder than any other spot.
“We're working through that,” Steichen said. “Obviously, we’ve got some injuries there that we’ve got to figure out there for sure.”
