EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- The City of Las Cruces will partially close the intersection of Moongate Road and Sirus Street for gas line work starting on Monday, Aug. 18.

According to the news release by the City, the intersection will be closed daily from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is expected to take roughly five business days to complete.

"Crews will repave the intersection after cutting into the pavement to locate all utilities within the roadway. The City anticipates this paving work will be completed by the beginning of September 2025," read the news release.

Motorists are being asked to follow detour routes, obey all traffic control signs and use caution in the area.
