EUGENE — Oregon’s offense sustained drives and avoided turnovers in the team’s second preseason scrimmage.

The scrimmage at Autzen Stadium opened with a 13-play touchdown drive, and though the defense did not many long plays, the offense had the more successful Saturday, according to coach Dan Lanning .

“Probably the exact opposite of last scrimmage, ” Lanning said. “Offense had a really positive day, ran the ball well. We protected the ball; didn’t throw any interceptions today, which is a big positive. On the other end, defense made them go the long, hard way. They didn’t create a ton of explosive plays but there were able to move the ball with some success.”
