On May 28, the Craven County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina received information about a 10-year-old child being exploited on Snapchat. An investigation led deputies to Lorenzo Diaz Jr., 21, of Sacramento. Subsequently, warrants were issued for his arrest.
Nearly two months later, July 14, Diaz was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals in California and a search warrant was executed on his residence. On Aug. 5, he was extradited to North Carolina.
Diaz faces felony charges, including sexual exploitation of a minor, indecent liberties with a minor, and other related charges,
