Oh, those pizza parlors of days past -- places where thin pies were tossed, topped, baked and brought to the table by local teenagers working their first job -- where the local mascot is featured not only on memorabilia around the restaurant but also often as a reference for popular menu items, where the interior has changed little in decades and where alumni bring their families when they come back for a visit. These humble treasures dot the landscape here and there.
