It’s widely agreed upon that Bethesda boasts one of, if not the, best modding community out there.

Whether it’s for an Elder Scrolls or Fallout title, Bethesda-related creations are constantly dominating sites like NexusMods.

There is one thing I’ve always wondered.

You see, Bethesda is known for taking its sweet time; The Elder Scrolls VI was first revealed back in 2018 and hasn’t received an update since, and it’s assumed Fallout 5 won’t arrive until 2030 or beyond.

Does Bethesda boast such an impressive modding community because fans would otherwise wither away from the content drought?

Or is it just a lucky coincidence for the studio known for its lengthy development cycles?
