After his post-round comments on Saturday afternoon, we don’t know if Scotsman Robert MacIntyre is going to face even more partisan jeering on Sunday when he gain goes toe to toe with American Scottie Scheffler in the final group of the BMW Championship, but give him this: The patsy-faced man is a lot more feisty and dangerous on the course than he looks.

MacIntyre mostly went blow for blow against the world’s best player in the third round, shooting 68 to Scheffler’s 67, and by making a 41-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole, he gave himself a four-shot cushion heading into the penultimate Sunday of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs.
