GENEVA — Don Shymske did not hesitate when asked what makes Bryce Peet a special football player.

“His football IQ,” the veteran Geneva coach said of his senior, who has starred at middle linebacker and fullback for the Eagles the last three years. “That kid just knows the game better than any other high school kid I’ve ever coached. He is able to sniff stuff out that I haven’t seen other players be able to do. He truly studies the game.”
