I’ll be the first one to admit that, in the forty years that I’ve spent watching Minnesota Vikings football, I’ve used my fair share of swear words. I’ve also used your fair share, my wife’s fair share, and the fair shares of several other people. But I’ve never been “mic’d up” when I’ve used them, which is the situation our favorite head coach found himself in on Saturday during the Vikings’ loss to the New England Patriots.

The play happened midway through the third quarter of Saturday’s game, when head coach Kevin O’Connell was on a live mic talking with the folks from the Vikings Radio Network while the game was taking place. Having the coach on to analyze things as they were happening was a pretty cool thing to hear, but as soon as he recognized that something on the field was wrong,
