ETNA -- The Maine Veterans Project received its largest donation since the nonprofit was formed ten years ago.

The Masonic Organization - the Widow's Sons Band of Brothers - held a charity motorcycle ride on Saturday, August 16.

Motorcyclists traveled from Pittsfield to Etna, where the group stopped at the Mossy Ledge Distillery for lunch and participated in an auction.

Once the donations from area businesses, sponsors and the auction were tallied, the Widows Sons group presented Doc Goodwin, the Maine Veterans Project founder, with a check for 125 thousand dollars.
