CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) — On Saturday, Charlotte FC faced a foe they haven't played since 2023.

Real Salt Lake currently ranks 10th in the Western Conference. The team beat Charlotte (3-1) at their last meeting. Charlotte, however, is riding high on their five straight wins in the regular season.

The match was very slow, point-scoring-wise. The first — and only — goal of the match came at the 35th minute by Idan Toklomati, with an assist by Ashley Westwood.

The match goes into halftime with Charlotte FC leading 1-0. Salt Lake would have 19 shot attempts and seven shots on goal. Goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina made a total of seven saves.
