TRACY, Calif. —
Community members across Northern California gathered for "Fight the Trump Takeover" events, part of a national day of action, to protest potential district map redraws and military deployments to U.S. cities.
"This country is so important to me, and it's so important to all of us and we are all seeing it being degraded through authoritarian tactics," said Jenny Wood, an organizer with Indivisible Tracy.
Cindy Garza, also from Indivisible Tracy, expressed her distress.
"I'm here with my husband's burial flag,” she said. “It's in an anarchy state right now because of the distress of our country and the distress of our flag.
