With his September trial date looming, a Myrtle Beach man entered a guilty plea Friday to second-offense drug trafficking charges.

Everett Ford, 37, of Myrtle Beach was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Michael G. Nettles to 10 years in prison for trafficking cocaine, and 10 years for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

The sentences will be served concurrently, according to a news release from the South Carolina 15th Judicial District solicitor’s office. Ford must serve at least 85% of his sentence before being eligible for parole.

Ford was arrested on Nov. 9, 2022 by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division agents with the assistance of Myrtle Beach police officers.
