BRANDON, S.D. (KELO) -- The Parkston Devil Rays and the Hartford/Humboldt Gamecocks secured their spot in the Class 'B' amateur baseball state championship game with semifinal wins Saturday evening. The Devil Rays earned a 7-2 victory over the Alexandria Angels. The Gamecocks blanked the Castlewood Ravens 5-0.

After both teams scored one run in the first inning of game one, the Rays plated three in the top of the second to take the lead. They padded the lead with two more in the third.

Seth Muth tallied three hits, while Jake Helleloid tossed a complete game with six strikeouts.

The Gamecocks scored two in the second and two more in the fifth. They added a final insurance run in the eighth.

Parkston and Hartford/Humboldt will play for the title Sunday afternoon in Brandon.
