The Pittsburgh Steelers fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 17-14. That said, the Steelers can come away from the penultimate exhibition game with confidence in their young stars.

Specifically on offense, running back Kaleb Johnson had a big game, which was needed after a quiet outing in his debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Johnson had 50 yards on 11 carries, which prompted right tackle Troy Fautanu to give praise to his running back.

“As you can see, Kaleb Johnson is a dude,” Fautanu said. “He’s already a confident guy, you can tell. But the more reps he gets, the better he looks.”

The Steelers will wrap up preseason play next Thursday in Carolina against the Panthers.
