ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It wasn't the result New Mexico United was hoping for, but it was the best regular season result for the club since June.

On Saturday night the black and yellow returned home for the first time since July 12. Matched up against Las Vegas Lights FC, NMU ended the night with a 2-2 draw.

Recently acquired forward Val Noel, who was traded from Las Vegas, made a quick splash with a goal in the fifth minute. Anthony Herbert, who United sent to Vegas in the trade, responded with the equalizer seven minutes later off of a corner.

Talen Maples picked up a red card in the 66'. Las Vegas scored eight minutes later with United playing down a man.

Thomas Amang scored the final goal of the match in the 87th.
