A middleweight title fight between champion Dricus Du Plessis and the unbeaten Khamzat Chimaev headlined Saturday's UFC 319 fight card.

Both men were undefeated inside the octagon. Du Plessis was riding an 11-fight winning streak and hadn't felt defeat since October 2018. Chimaev had steamrolled most of his opponents leading up to Saturday's showdown at the United Center in Chicago.

After an intense face-off, the fight began. They touched gloves and Chimaev immediately shot for a takedown. He secured a double leg and moved to side control. Chimaev trapped on arm.
