Rangers captain Nicola Docherty says Leanne Crichton has the iron will to change the mindset at Rangers . ‌

The former Scotland international has taken up the manager’s post following Jo Potter’s departure. ‌

Crichton has never managed on her own before but Docherty, who played with her at Glasgow City and Scotland , believes she has the necessary steel to toughen up the Gers dressing-room. ‌

Rangers have lost out on the title by suffering final-day heartache in the past three seasons.

But Docherty, who will lead out the team at Montrose today, said: “I’ve know Leanne a long time. We played together and I know she is a winner.
