Carlos Mendoza has been watching the New York Mets suffer lately through a string of bad games, until a recent outing by Nolan McLean helped the team snap a losing streak and win their third game of the month. The manager had some positive comments on the performance.
According to Mendoza’s recent statements, not only did McLean have an incredible outing against the Mariners, but that type of performance is what really helps the Mets—not just to win games, but also to lift the team’s energy.
“We needed that as a team, the organization,” Mendoza said about McLean. “…given where we’re at and how hard it’s been for us.” He also revealed that he feels good about the team’s chances for the postseason.
