Who Democrats are, what they stand for, and how they would govern all seem to be in grave doubt by the electorate, even by self-identified Democrats.

So, now what? Rebuilding. From the outside in.

A focus toward rebuilding the Democratic Party brand most likely cannot be accomplished through the existing structure of the Democratic National Committee in Washington. Consequently, a separate entity as an adjunct to the existing party would have greater credibility and value. That entity would be kin to the Democratic Leadership Council chaired in 1990-1991 by then-Gov. Bill Clinton prior to his successful 1992 run as a two-term president.
