A little more on Clayton Kershaw’s gem in Friday’s series opener, during which he allowed only three baserunners and one run in six innings, giving Kershaw a 1.00 ERA in three August starts. Kershaw downplayed his outing a bit, as noted by Fabian Ardaya at The Athletic:
“It’s a game in August, obviously,” Kershaw said. “It’s not that huge a deal. But the way we were going, it felt like a big game for us. Thankfully, we got a win.”
