What happened to “we’re only going after criminals and gang members?” Surprise, surprise. That was just another lie.

ICE doesn’t have time to be picky about who’s life they put on ice. Their boss gave them a quota to meet - 3,000 arrests per day. Scoop ‘em up and put ‘em away. Sort ‘em out later ... or not.

By all accounts, Giovanna Hernandez-Martinez is a beloved social worker and advocate for immigrant children, a role model in her Leeds community. Until she was pulled over for speeding on August 5th, there was no trouble in her history.

Now she’s sitting in a Louisiana ICE detention facility . Her family and friends are devastated.

Giovanna is not a criminal. Set her free.
