With the District 6-6A volleyball schedule beginning on Tuesday, Allen and Plano will enter the week riding high after a pair of strong showings during their first tournaments of the 2025 season.

Allen came out atop one of the area's premier preseason showcases after winning the Battle for the Rock tournament, held Thursday-Saturday. Competing from Rockwall High School, the Lady Eagles got the better of Southlake Carroll in four sets (26-24, 25-23, 24-26, 25-11).
