GROVER, Wis. (WFRV) - A 30-year-old man from Marinette was pronounced dead following a head-on crash after he was driving the wrong way on US 41, where deputies noted that alcohol appeared to have been a factor.
Around 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, deputies with the Marinette County Sheriff's Office say they responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on US Highway 41 north of CTH M in the Town of Grover.
When first responders arrived, an investigation was conducted, indicating that a vehicle driving north in the southbound lane on US 41 collided head-on with a southbound vehicle.
Deputies say that the wrong-way vehicle was driven by 30-year-old Jose Javier Mejias Guerra of Marinette, and the southbound vehicle was driven by 20-year-old Barbara Gualsaqui Cabascango of Chicago, Ill
