It’s been a good couple days in the very hot border of the South, with the Yankees taking the first two games against the Cardinals in a series they really needed to win. In the Sunday finale, we have one of those “something’s gotta give” games, with starter Will Warren struggling on the road and St. Louis hurler Miles Mikolas just plain bad. We might just see a 1-0 game to wrap up the series.

Warren has been close to an ace back in the Bronx, but road games have been his kryptonite. Almost four full runs separate his home and road ERA, with a .358 road wOBA that turns every hitter he faces into Matt Olson. He has thrown just 50 innings away from New York, so we can’t draw a ton out of these results, but the Yankees need every win they can get. If Warren is a homebody, even for just this
