The Alabama Crimson Tide will be without running back Jam Miller for its season opener against Florida State on Aug. 30.
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said early Sunday that Miller was injured during a scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday.
Afterward, DeBoer said Miller underwent a medical procedure for what was described as an “upper-body” injury.
ESPN reported that running backs Richard Young and Daniel Hill could see increased carries.
Miller rushed for 668 yards and seven touchdowns on 145 carries in 2024.
