The Kane County Health Department, in partnership with the National Latino Behavioral Health Association and All Our Kids Early Childhood Network, is hosting a no-cost specialized Behavioral Health Interpreter Training to strengthen communication and care for individuals whose first language is not English.

The training will be held at the Kane County Regional Office of Education, 28 N. First St., Geneva, IL 60134, and will be offered for two audiences:

For interpreters

• Dates: Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 2-3

• Time: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (14 hours total over two days)

• Focus: Immersive instruction in the principles and practices of interpreter communication in behavioral health settings. Participants must be fluent in at least one language other than English.
