There was a crash Sunday about 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 95 south near mile marker 3.3 in Chester that sent several individuals to area hospitals for treatment

Police, fire and EMS were told of a confusing situation that might have involved at least two vehicles and that possibly someone got out of the one of the vehicles and was struck.

There was also a mention on radio traffic that one of the vehicles might have been stolen. Several medical units were dispatched, ALS and BLS.

State police would be the investigating entity, and there was no word from the Media station troopers by Sunday afternoon regarding the crash.

The southbound lanes were closed for an extended period for an investigation, clearing the wreckage and cleaning up fluids.
