State authorities are investigating after a shooting left two dead and two critically injured over the weekend in Fairview, a city of about 2,700 people an hour-and-half northwest of Oklahoma City in Major County.

Around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, officers with the Fairview Police Department responded to a house near Sylvia St. and East State Road, according to a news release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation .

When police arrived, they said they found four people with gunshot wounds. A 49-year-old man and 17-year-old girl were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the news release. A 44-year-old woman and 13-year-old boy were also transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
