Following their nuptials on Saturday, U.S. Rep. Rob Bresnahan and Chelsea Strub announced the launch of their charitable fund, The Greenlight Project, which they touted as a “long-term investment in the region they love: Northeastern Pennsylvania.”

According to a press release, Bresnahan committed to donating $348,000 toward the fund. The Greenlight Project will be administered as a donor-advised fund through the Luzerne Foundation.

“The Greenlight Project is our way of giving back to the region that has given so much to us,” said Bresnahan in the press release. “Northeastern Pennsylvania has been, and will always be, my home. This is more than a donation. It is a commitment to invest in the people, institutions, and ideas that move Northeastern Pennsylvania forward.”
