A car was sent flying into a vacant Colorado Springs police patrol vehicle late Friday after a collision with another vehicle, according to police.
Happening at the intersection of East Colorado and South Nevada avenues, the initial collision took place around 11:30 p.m. and launched one of the vehicles into the patrol car, which was parked in front of the City Administration Building, police said.
No injuries were reported. According to police, a car failed to stop at a red light and struck another vehicle before being propelled into the patrol car. The driver of the first vehicle was cited for careless driving and running the red light, police said.
