According to Adam Schefter, Browns HC Kevin Stefanski is planning to name the team’s starting quarterback ahead of the final preseason game.
Schefter adds that the team plans to use the final preseason game as a type of dress rehearsal for Week 1.
As of now, it appears that the team will name veteran QB Joe Flacco the starter, with Dillon Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, and Shedeur Sanders all dealing with minor injuries.
Flacco, 40, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2008. After over a decade in Baltimore, the Broncos agreed to trade a 2019 fourth-round pick to the Ravens for Flacco.
