Box Office Report: Mr. Nobody

Thanks to a savvy marketing campaign and a string of glowing reviews, the horror film Weapons stayed at the top of the box office with a comfortable $25 million. That brings its domestic total to just over $89 million. Worldwide, it’s closing in on $150 million. Not too shabby for a $38 million original title playing in August. Things also remain pretty good for Freakier Friday , which is now at $54.7 million domestically after two weeks.

Both did better than the biggest new release of the weekend, Nobody 2 starring Bob Odenkirk. The action sequel landed at number three with only $9.25 million from 3,260 locations. Eh.
