The two New Orleans Saints quarterbacks competing to be the team's starter had nice moments in Sunday's preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at the Caesars Superdome but Spencer Rattler shined late. The second-year pro led the team on a nine-play, 82-yard drive in 2:18 capped off by a 20-yard touchdown pass to Dante Pettis. Rattler ran the two-point conversion in to tie the score at 17 with 21 seconds left.

Rookie safety Jonas Sanker picked off Jacksonville on the final play of regulation as the game ended in a tie.

Rattler started the second half and was 18 of 24 for 199 yards, leading three scoring drives, including the touchdown drive. His best play was a 45-yard completion to receiver Mason Tipton in the third quarter. He did have an interception in the red zone late in
