Miles Heizer is leading a powerful new Netflix series.

The 30-year-old actor stars in Boots , a coming-of-age dramedy inspired by Greg Cope White ’s memoir The Pink Marine . Originally known as The Corps , the series marks the final project from legendary producer Norman Lear , who passed away in 2023 at the age of 101.

The show premieres October 9 and follows closeted teen Cameron Cope and his best friend Ray McAffey as they enter Marine Corps boot camp in 1990.
