I've seen many people ask about how to make sourdough bread in different Facebook groups. It seems like a bit of a science project that begins with a sourdough starter. It's kind of like a little pet that you feed, and it grows.

It’s basically a living culture of flour and water that captures wild yeast and beneficial microbes from the environment. Over time, these microbes grow and create bubbles of carbon dioxide, which makes bread rise, while also giving sourdough its signature tangy flavor. Sounds like a lot of work. So, maybe we leave all of that to the sourdough pros.
