The Chicago Cubs once had a 6 1/2-game lead in the National League Central. However, they have since lost the lead as the Milwaukee Brewers have gone on a historic 14-game win streak.

The Cubs entered Sunday trailing the Brewers by nine games in the division. The Brewers have put together two separate win streaks of at least 11 games. The Cubs had hopes of winning the division and Craig Counsell got brutally honest about the Brewers stopping them.

"The job is to try to win the division. That's kind of the ultimate goal. They're making that really difficult," Counsell said before the Cubs' Saturday game. "They're making that part of the goal really hard to get to."
