Air Canada’s plans to resume service on Sunday were upended after the union representing its flight attendants vowed to remain on strike despite a federal order to end the labour dispute.
“We will be challenging this blatantly unconstitutional order. We remain on strike,” CUPE said in a statement early Monday morning.

The work stoppage involving some 10,000 flight attendants that began early Saturday morning continued Sunday, prompting about 240 flights scheduled starting Sunday afternoon to be canceled, Air Canada said in a statement. Service is now set to resume Monday evening.
