LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Back on October 28, 2023, Slaton football snapped a 19-game losing streak.

In 2024 they went 7-4 and made the playoffs.

In 2025, Slaton is preseason ranked No. 21 by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.

It’s been an impressive turnaround, culture change and buy-in by the players and community under Head Coach Clint Conkin.

The Tigers have a lot of starters returning so they look to keep moving forward.
