LEHIGHTON, Pa. — As the grills sizzle, it's no surprise that traditional cuisine is one of the biggest draws at Lehighton 's Ukrainian festival.

"We're making delicious hot, fresh off the grill Ukrainian potato pancakes. Go very nicely with some cold sour cream," says volunteer Natalia Prociuk.

At this year's Ukrainian festival, the mood is both celebratory and resolute. It's a vibrant display of culture, but also a show of solidarity with those still affected by the conflict in Ukraine.

Along with celebrating heritage, Paula Holoviak, cultural director for the Rebirth of Ukraine, says the festival is helping raise money to support those affected by the war in Ukraine.
