The FedEx Cup playoffs reached its second event at the BMW Championship, offering a $20 million purse with $3.6 million to the winner.

Scottie Scheffler, once again, is taking home that big check. Even with a fill-in caddie this week , the world No. 1 won for the fifth time this season, chasing down Robert MacIntyre in the final round at Caves Valley.

Scheffler will go to the Tour Championship as the favorite, though he won't get any starting strokes this year as that format has been retired by the PGA Tour. But he won $5 million for being the points leader through the first two playoff events, a check he clinched before the BMW began.

Daniel Berger withdrew before the final round due to injury while Sepp Straka missed the event, so 48 players finished.
