Let’s do a blind comparison of two college football programs in the NCAA crosshairs this year.

Here are their crimes and punishments:

● Team A: Their former coach ran a program that was “largely dismissive of the rules” and saw “compliance as the enemy,” according to the NCAA Committee on Infractions, clearing the way for a cheating scandal that presented “sufficient grounds for a multiyear postseason ban.” The result: Play on, fellas!

● Team B: Some of their former players got bad grades. They received a bowl ban.

Now, guess which is Michigan and which is the traditional doormat of the Mid-American Conference.

Not exactly a riddle.
