ATLANTA — This week, Atlanta will host Crime Survivors Speak , a national gathering for people impacted by violence.
One of the featured voices is Tiffany Smith, a local mother whose 15-year-old son Cameron Jackson was shot and killed near Atlantic Station in 2022 .
Since Cameron’s death, Smith has dedicated herself to supporting other grieving families.
She founded The Angel Moms Collective , a group that now includes more than 300 mothers who have lost children to violence.
“Cameron was very outspoken, just a lovable kid,” Smith said. “He was committed to family and community. And so that has me continuing to fight for community and family.”
Smith believes healing for mothers is key to healing communities as a whole.
