MIDLOTHIAN, Texas — The Lakeview Drive crossover at U.S. 287 in Midlothian will permanently close Sunday night as part of a multi-year pavement project, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The closure is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., weather permitting, TxDOT said. Detours will be in place, and officials said drivers should expect delays as traffic adjusts to the new configuration.
The closure is a result of a $13.4 million project on U.S. 287, which includes pavement improvements. That project is expected to be finished in spring 2026.
